Gary Deschaine is a Canadian who was raised in California. Out of high school and planning the next phase of his life, he discovered a non-existent job market. With few options, he opted to join the United States Army, hoping to gain life experience and further education.
He got what he was looking for during a two year service with the US military in Vietnam.
